Studio J - Digital Scrapbooking from Close To My Heart - COMING SOON!

Well, I am hooked!  Studio J, Close To My Heart's new digital online scrapbooking online software is coming soon!  As a consultant I was given early access to the software. My first session I ended up  creating eight two-page layouts in about 3 hours.  I've made a dozen two page layouts so far!

So what is Studio J?  If you have used any online photo software, it's a bit like that.  You upload your photos you've chosen for your layouts to Studio J and then start clicking!  

Some quick notes about Studio J:

-You do not have to purchase anything to use the software

-You only purchase the layouts, nothing else

-It has the same paper kits as available in the Idea Books

-You can and digital embellishments like ribbons, metal, My Stickease

-Everything coordinates with the CTMH color schemes

-You can add anything to the prints after you receive them

-You can use pre-made templates for lots of photo arrangements

- You can use suggested layouts by paper pack or change them how you like

- There are tons of fonts and journaling options

From what you can see of the two layouts I made (above) you can use the layouts for one 2 page layout or two one page layouts!

Altered Composition Notebook

When you need a quick gift or donation for a teacher's luncheon door prize, altered composition notebooks are quick, easy and always a big hit.

This notebook was done with the retired Life's Delights paper and level 2 stickease card stock stickers.  After gluing down the paper, sand & ink the edges add the stickers and you are ready to go! 

Bluebonnet / Wildflower 3 Ring Binder Album

It's wildflower time again here in Texas!  Bluebonnet season is absolutely one of the BEST times of the year.  For the last 8 years we make a journey into the country for a day or two and take family pictures in the fields of wild bluebonnets.  After spotting the early bloomers along the freeway near town, I felt inspired to make my own.  My fingers should be Indian Corn Blue for a few more days after dying the paper flowers by hand.

February Stamp Of The Month - Piece of Cake - Heat Embossed & Water Brushed Ink

 Stamp of the Month Set - Piece Of Cake is a wonderful set for heat embossing.  Both cards were embossed using the VersaMark ink and black embossing powder.  The coloring was done with the water brush using the Exclusive Ink Pads.  

To create the raised embossed image, stamp the image using the VersaMark Ink pad.  I dusted with blank embossing powder and heated the powder using the craft heater until fully melted and shiny. 

To watercolor with our ink pads you can squeeze the ink from the pad onto the lid of the ink pad (while the lid is closed).  Using the water brush (filled with filtered water), dip the wet tip of the brush in the ink that remained on the lid of the ink pad and paint it onto the stamped image.
